Beginners French – Summer Evening Course Part of our special Bus Stop Studios Summer School, this easy-going and confidence-boosting course is a great way to start learning la belle langue in a relaxed, small-group setting. Led by the ever-friendly Olivier Jarrié, you’ll learn to handle everyday situations—from ordering a croissant in a café to asking “Où est la gare ?” with confidence. With a mix of structured lessons, gentle grammar and plenty of speaking practice, you’ll be saying bonjour and merci in no time! We’ll cover the essentials like: – Making plans and telling the time – Asking for directions and finding your way – Shopping, cafés and restaurants (l’addition, s’il vous plaît!) Each week blends conversation, reading and writing activities to help you feel more at ease with French. You’ll also build up the grammar tools to start forming your own sentences, pas à pas (step by step). We’ll be following the Usborne Beginners French book, which you’ll need to purchase in advance—it’s widely available online or from your favourite librairie. Course fee: £95 / £80 low income Please note: class sizes are small and spaces go quickly. We recommend reading our T&Cs before booking. Terms & Conditions for Class Bookings Please note: Most of our classes are designed for adults. If you're unsure whether a class is suitable for you or someone you're booking for, please get in touch before booking. Bookings & Payments • You can book places on our classes, workshops and events via our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6AY. • All bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. • You will receive a booking confirmation by email once your payment has been processed. Materials • Materials and tools vary depending on the class. Please refer to the individual course description for details. Feel free to contact us with any questions in advance. Cancellations & Changes • Bookings are non-refundable. • Due to our small class sizes, it is usually not possible to transfer bookings to another date. • If you notify us at least 14 days in advance, we may be able to offer a transfer or credit note, subject to availability. • If you contact us 7 days before the class, we may be able to offer an alternative date, but this is not guaranteed. The more notice you give, the better chance we can help. • If you cannot attend, you may send someone else in your place. Please inform us of their name before the class. Cancellations by Us • In the rare case that we need to cancel a class, workshop or event, you will receive a full refund. • Our liability is limited to the cost of the class only. We are not responsible for any additional costs such as travel, accommodation, or pre-purchased materials. Insurance & Professional Standards • Bus Stop Studios is fully insured for all classes and workshops. • All of our tutors carry their own Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and are experienced professionals in their field.
