Embroider Your Wardrobe Course – A Creative Course with Amy Burt Ever wanted to breathe new life into an old t-shirt, cover up a stubborn stain on your favourite jacket, or figure out how to stitch onto a pair of socks? Now’s your chance to transform your wardrobe with the art of embroidery! Join professional embroidery artist and Bus Stop Studios founder Amy Burt for this inspiring four-part evening course, where you'll plan and create custom embroidery on items from your own wardrobe. Every project will be unique, tailored to your vision, style, and garment of choice. What to Expect: Week 1: Plan your project with Amy’s expert guidance. Week 2-4: Bring your ideas to life, learning techniques that will make your designs shine! No idea what to stitch? No problem! Amy’s shop offers a collection of her own beautiful designs for purchase, and her book, STITCH, is packed with inspiration (just check out the photos below for a glimpse of what’s possible!). If you have your own sewing kit please feel free to bring this along but we have everything you will need here if not. This hands-on, small-group course is perfect for beginners and seasoned stitchers alike, and if all goes well, we hope to make it a regular event! Meet Your Tutor – Amy Burt (aka Lady B Embroidery) Amy is a qualified hand embroidery artist and tutor based in St Leonards on Sea. Since 2016, she has taught at the Royal School of Needlework and has worked with top fashion houses, including Alexander McQueen, Ralph & Russo, and Erdem. She even contributed embroidery to the Coronation of King Charles III! Her book, STITCH, published in 2021, showcases stunning embroidery techniques and inspiration. www.ladybembroidery.co.uk Course Details: Dates: Tuesdays, 3rd March - 24th March (4 lessons) Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM Location: Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex, TN37 6AY Materials: We will provide the basics such as needles and cotton, purchase what you need in class at a discounted rate, or request a materials list to bring your own. Pricing: We offer a reduced rate for those on low incomes. If you’re able to pay the standard fee, it helps support our tutors and keeps classes accessible. Please choose the price that feels right for your circumstances. Class sizes are kept small to ensure lots of individual support and space to develop at your own pace. Terms & Conditions for Class Bookings Please note: Most of our classes are designed for adults. If you're unsure whether a class is suitable for you or someone you're booking for, please get in touch before booking. Bookings & Payments • You can book places on our classes, workshops and events via our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6AY. • All bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. • You will receive a booking confirmation by email once your payment has been processed. Materials • Materials and tools vary depending on the class. Please refer to the individual course description for details. Feel free to contact us with any questions in advance. Cancellations & Changes • Bookings are non-refundable. • Due to our small class sizes, it is usually not possible to transfer bookings to another date. • If you notify us at least 14 days in advance, we may be able to offer a transfer or credit note, subject to availability. • If you contact us 7 days before the class, we may be able to offer an alternative date, but this is not guaranteed. The more notice you give, the better chance we can help. • If you cannot attend, you may send someone else in your place. Please inform us of their name before the class. Cancellations by Us • In the rare case that we need to cancel a class, workshop or event, you will receive a full refund. • Our liability is limited to the cost of the class only. We are not responsible for any additional costs such as travel, accommodation, or pre-purchased materials. Insurance & Professional Standards • Bus Stop Studios is fully insured for all classes and workshops. • All of our tutors carry their own Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and are experienced professionals in their field.
