Join us at Bus Stop Studios this summer for a special five-day haute couture embroidery course taught by studio founder Amy Burt—aka Lady B Embroidery. Ever wanted to learn the embroidery techniques used by some of the biggest names in fashion? Now’s your chance! In this hands-on, technique-rich summer school, you’ll explore professional methods used in leading fashion houses such as Alexander McQueen and Ralph & Russo. 🎓 About Your Tutor Amy is a qualified Hand Embroidery Artist and Tutor based in St Leonards on Sea. She has taught for the Royal School of Needlework since 2016 and has worked for top fashion labels including McQueen, Ralph & Russo, Erdem, and more. Most recently, she was part of the RSN team who embroidered the robes for the Coronation of King Charles III. More info at: www.ladybembroidery.co.uk 🪡 What You’ll Learn (Day-by-Day) Day One • Frame up a rotary frame—quick on, quick off, just like the fashion studios • Master the tambour hook using chain stitch • Learn to turn corners and start/stop with control Day Two • Tambour with beads, sequins, bugle beads, and seed beads Day Three • Filling larger areas with vermicelli stitch (aka Chinese spaghetti!) • Layered sugar stitch techniques with sequins and beads Day Four • Hand beading techniques • Lace appliqué Day Five • Silk ribbon embroidery • Hand embroidery stitches for fashion embellishment 🎁 What’s Included The course fee includes a £30 kit, covering all materials: fabric, threads, beads, sequins, and your own tambour hook. Terms & Conditions for Class Bookings Please note: Most of our classes are designed for adults. If you're unsure whether a class is suitable for you or someone you're booking for, please get in touch before booking. Bookings & Payments • You can book places on our classes, workshops and events via our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6AY. • All bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. • You will receive a booking confirmation by email once your payment has been processed. Materials • Materials and tools vary depending on the class. Please refer to the individual course description for details. Feel free to contact us with any questions in advance. Cancellations & Changes • Bookings are non-refundable. • Due to our small class sizes, it is usually not possible to transfer bookings to another date. • If you notify us at least 14 days in advance, we may be able to offer a transfer or credit note, subject to availability. • If you contact us 7 days before the class, we may be able to offer an alternative date, but this is not guaranteed. The more notice you give, the better chance we can help. • If you cannot attend, you may send someone else in your place. Please inform us of their name before the class. Cancellations by Us • In the rare case that we need to cancel a class, workshop or event, you will receive a full refund. • Our liability is limited to the cost of the class only. We are not responsible for any additional costs such as travel, accommodation, or pre-purchased materials. Insurance & Professional Standards • Bus Stop Studios is fully insured for all classes and workshops. • All of our tutors carry their own Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and are experienced professionals in their field.
