Festive Japanese Wrapping Cloth Workshop Would you like to make your Christmas more eco-friendly this year? Would you like to wrap a gift in something really special? Join Tara Macdonald to create your own beautifully hand-dyed festive wrapping cloth. The Japanese art of Furoshiki involves wrapping gifts in a reusable cloth that is a gift in itself. It can be used again and again, or even worn as a scarf. You will be using flowers and botanicals to bundle-dye an organic cotton wrapping cloth, as well as dyeing a piece of ribbon to wrap around a special gift. They will not only look beautiful, they are kinder to the planet too. Bundle dyeing is a great way to introduce yourself to natural dyeing, and Tara will be explaining the fundamentals to get you started in this fascinating craft. About the Tutor Tara Macdonald is a natural dyer, gardener, and teacher who runs her own dye studio and grows many of her own dye plants. Her practice focuses on sustainability, using flowers and botanicals to create unique textiles. Terms & Conditions for Class Bookings Please note: Most of our classes are designed for adults. If you're unsure whether a class is suitable for you or someone you're booking for, please get in touch before booking. Bookings & Payments • You can book places on our classes, workshops and events via our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6AY. • All bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. • You will receive a booking confirmation by email once your payment has been processed. Materials • Materials and tools vary depending on the class. Please refer to the individual course description for details. Feel free to contact us with any questions in advance. Cancellations & Changes • Bookings are non-refundable. • Due to our small class sizes, it is usually not possible to transfer bookings to another date. • If you notify us at least 14 days in advance, we may be able to offer a transfer or credit note, subject to availability. • If you contact us 7 days before the class, we may be able to offer an alternative date, but this is not guaranteed. The more notice you give, the better chance we can help. • If you cannot attend, you may send someone else in your place. Please inform us of their name before the class. Cancellations by Us • In the rare case that we need to cancel a class, workshop or event, you will receive a full refund. • Our liability is limited to the cost of the class only. We are not responsible for any additional costs such as travel, accommodation, or pre-purchased materials. Insurance & Professional Standards • Bus Stop Studios is fully insured for all classes and workshops. • All of our tutors carry their own Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and are experienced professionals in their field.
