Hand Embroidery Evenings with Lady B Embroidery Join us every Wednesday evening for a relaxing and inspiring hand embroidery course led by Bus Stop Studios founder Amy Burt, also known as Lady B Embroidery. Whether you’re a complete beginner or returning to build on your skills, this friendly mixed-level group is the perfect place to learn, stitch, and share ideas. What to Expect Each student is supported to work at their own pace. You can follow a structured course with Amy or develop your own project with her guidance and advice. Choose from a range of focus areas: • Intro to Embroidery – Learn the core stitches and essential techniques • Raised & Textured Embroidery – Explore padding, layering, and 3D effects • Fashion & Couture Embroidery – Try beading, tambour work, and techniques used in haute couture Alternatively, bring your own design ideas and develop them week by week. Amy is trained in over 25 embroidery techniques and always welcomes a creative challenge. When booking, please let us know your level and what you’d like to focus on. Materials Purchase what you need in class at a discounted rate, or request a materials list to bring your own. This is a mixed-level group with a lovely combination of returning students and new faces. Absolute beginners are very welcome — no previous experience needed. About the Tutor Amy Burt is a qualified hand embroidery artist and tutor based in St Leonards-on-Sea. She has taught at the Royal School of Needlework since 2016 and worked for London fashion houses including Alexander McQueen, Erdem, and Ralph & Russo. If you are able to pay the standard fee, this helps support our tutors and makes our classes more accessible to everyone. Please choose the price that feels right for your circumstances. Standard Full Term: £180 Standard Half Term: £120 Low Income Full Term: £160 Low Income Half Term: £90 Class sizes are kept small to ensure plenty of individual support and time to develop at your own pace. Terms & Conditions for Class Bookings Please note: Most of our classes are designed for adults. If you're unsure whether a class is suitable for you or someone you're booking for, please get in touch before booking. Bookings & Payments • You can book places on our classes, workshops and events via our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6AY. • All bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. • You will receive a booking confirmation by email once your payment has been processed. Materials • Materials and tools vary depending on the class. Please refer to the individual course description for details. Feel free to contact us with any questions in advance. Cancellations & Changes • Bookings are non-refundable. • Due to our small class sizes, it is usually not possible to transfer bookings to another date. • If you notify us at least 14 days in advance, we may be able to offer a transfer or credit note, subject to availability. • If you contact us 7 days before the class, we may be able to offer an alternative date, but this is not guaranteed. The more notice you give, the better chance we can help. • If you cannot attend, you may send someone else in your place. Please inform us of their name before the class. Cancellations by Us • In the rare case that we need to cancel a class, workshop or event, you will receive a full refund. • Our liability is limited to the cost of the class only. We are not responsible for any additional costs such as travel, accommodation, or pre-purchased materials. Insurance & Professional Standards • Bus Stop Studios is fully insured for all classes and workshops. • All of our tutors carry their own Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and are experienced professionals in their field.
