Intermediate French Summer Evening Course Part of the Bus Stop Studios Summer School programme, this friendly intermediate course is perfect for anyone with a basic grasp of French who wants to go further – building fluency, confidence, and expression in a relaxed, small-group setting. Led by experienced tutor Olivier Jarrié, you’ll dive into the language through a range of authentic, real-world materials – from magazine articles and newspaper clippings to popular French songs. Along the way, we’ll revisit and expand on core grammar, deepen your vocabulary, and help you speak more freely and naturally in conversation. You’ll practise: – Reading and responding to everyday texts – Improving writing clarity and accuracy – Engaging in lively group discussion – Listening for nuance through music and spoken French This course is ideal if you’ve taken a beginners’ class in the past or know the basics and want to build on them. Olivier creates a warm and open atmosphere where questions are always welcome, and learning happens without pressure. What do you need to bring? Just a notebook and something to write with. Course fee: £95 / £80 low income Please note: class sizes are small and spaces are limited. We recommend reading our T&Cs before booking. Terms & Conditions for Class Bookings Please note: Most of our classes are designed for adults. If you're unsure whether a class is suitable for you or someone you're booking for, please get in touch before booking. Bookings & Payments • You can book places on our classes, workshops and events via our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6AY. • All bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. • You will receive a booking confirmation by email once your payment has been processed. Materials • Materials and tools vary depending on the class. Please refer to the individual course description for details. Feel free to contact us with any questions in advance. Cancellations & Changes • Bookings are non-refundable. • Due to our small class sizes, it is usually not possible to transfer bookings to another date. • If you notify us at least 14 days in advance, we may be able to offer a transfer or credit note, subject to availability. • If you contact us 7 days before the class, we may be able to offer an alternative date, but this is not guaranteed. The more notice you give, the better chance we can help. • If you cannot attend, you may send someone else in your place. Please inform us of their name before the class. Cancellations by Us • In the rare case that we need to cancel a class, workshop or event, you will receive a full refund. • Our liability is limited to the cost of the class only. We are not responsible for any additional costs such as travel, accommodation, or pre-purchased materials. Insurance & Professional Standards • Bus Stop Studios is fully insured for all classes and workshops. • All of our tutors carry their own Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and are experienced professionals in their field.
