“table” is a show of work by multi-disciplinary artist Hal Haines.
The pieces in this exhibition explore Hal’s ideas through various mediums, brought together by his signature illustrative style, his approach to visual storytelling and, of course, food and drink. It is around a table that we share in each other's company, that we recall our stories and create shared experiences.
“table” is a love letter to eating, drinking and togetherness.
–
Hal grew up on the Kent/East Sussex border, before moving to Glasgow to study at the School of Art, where he graduated in 2019. He now lives in St Leonards, working on a range of commercial and fine art projects, always with a vibrant, playful flare. He finds inspiration in just about anything, particularly the local countryside he grew up in, mid-century children’s books, music and queer culture.
