Evening Crochet School Come stitch up some joy with renowned crochet designer and tutor Katie Jones. Whether you're a complete beginner or already hooked on crochet, this six-part course is designed to help you build confidence, develop new skills, and enjoy creative time in a friendly, supportive setting. Who’s it for? Complete beginners: Learn all the fundamentals from scratch, no experience necessary. Confident crocheters: Bring along a tricky pattern or project & let Katie guide you through it with expert support. What You’ll Learn Over six sessions, beginners will cover: - How to make a classic granny square - Working in rows & in the round - Colour changes and simple colour-work - Creating texture with a variety of stitches - Understanding hooks, yarns, tension, & reading basic patterns Improvers can explore: - More advanced stitch combinations - Starting and shaping garments or accessories - Finishing techniques - Troubleshooting patterns - Personal project development with Katie’s guidance Materials Basic yarn and tools for practice are included in the course fee. If you'd prefer to use your own colours or fibres, we’ll send you a materials list in advance. Materials fee is included in the price. About Katie Jones Katie is a celebrated knit & crochet designer known for her bold colour palettes, joyful creativity, and inclusive approach to teaching. Her work has been featured by the V&A Museum, Selfridges, and Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas, and she’s the author of Hip to Be Square. Follow her at @katiejonesknit Course Details Dates: Thursday 16th July – Thursday 20th August Time: 6:30pm – 8:30pm Location: Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards-on-Sea, TN37 6AY Class size: Small group with individual guidance & support Class sizes are kept small, so early booking is recommended. Please read our T&Cs before booking. Pricing £135 (materials included) Like many small businesses, we’re seeing rising costs, so we’ve made a small increase to our course prices. To keep things fair and sustainable, reduced-fee places are now limited rather than open to everyone. Cancellation Policy
Terms & Conditions for Class Bookings Most of our classes are designed for adults. If you are unsure whether a class is suitable, please contact us before booking. Bookings & Payments - Classes, workshops and events can be booked via our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6AY. - Bookings are first come, first served. - Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. (please see below for payment options) - A booking confirmation will be sent by email once payment has been processed. Pricing & Supported Places - As a small independent business, our class fees help cover running costs, tutor pay, preparation time and associated expenses. - We may offer 1-2 lower income or supported places on selected courses, subject to availability. - These must be requested by email before booking and are offered at our discretion. - If the cost of a longer course feels difficult to manage, please contact us before booking and we may be able to discuss options such as a payment plan. Materials - Materials and tools vary by class. Please check the course description for details. Cancellations & Changes - Bookings are non-refundable. - Transfers are usually not possible due to small class sizes. - With at least 14 days' notice, we may be able to offer a transfer or credit note, subject to availability. - With 7 days' notice, we may be able to offer an alternative date, but this is not guaranteed. -If you cannot attend, you may send someone else in your place. Please let us know their name before the class. Cancellations by Us - If we need to cancel a class, workshop or event, you will receive a full refund. - Our liability is limited to the cost of the class only. Insurance & Copyright - Bus Stop Studios is fully insured for all classes and workshops, and all tutors hold their own Public Liability Insurance. - Course content, handouts, photography and designs are for personal use only and may not be copied, shared or used for teaching or commercial purposes without written permission. Photography - We may occasionally take photographs during classes for marketing or social media. - We will always ask permission before taking or using identifiable images. - Please let us know in advance if you have any concerns about photography.
