Evening Knitting School with Katie Jones Come stitch up some cosy joy this winter with renowned knit and crochet designer Katie Jones, a regular tutor at Bus Stop Studios, where she also leads our regular crochet classes and seasonal workshops. This relaxed, friendly course is perfect for absolute beginners and confident improvers alike. Whether you’re picking up needles for the first time or ready to build on the basics, Katie will guide you through everything you need to gain confidence and enjoy the meditative magic of knitting. What You’ll Learn Beginners will cover: - Casting on and binding off - Knit & purl stitches - Working in rows - Simple shaping and fixing mistakes - Yarn types, needle sizes & tension - Reading a basic pattern Improvers can explore: - Textured stitch patterns (like seed stitch, ribbing, or lace) - Colour play and combining yarns - Customising shapes - Troubleshooting patterns Materials Basic yarn and materials are provided. The course price includes a small materials fee. Want to bring your own colours? We’ll send you a material's list, but remember we have lovely range of yarn and haberdashery in the Bus Stop Studios shop Please let us know your skill level when booking so we can tailor the sessions to suit everyone. Course Schedule Mondays, 6:30pm – 8:30pm Starting: 23rd February - 23rd March 2026 Held at: Bus Stop Studios, St Leonards-on-Sea We offer a reduced rate for those on low incomes. If you are able to pay the standard fee, this helps support our tutors and makes our classes more accessible to everyone. Please choose the price that feels right for your circumstances. Standard fee: £125 Low income rate: £95 This is a small-group class with limited places, so early booking is essential. Please read our Terms & Conditions before booking.

Terms & Conditions for Class Bookings Please note: Most of our classes are designed for adults. If you're unsure whether a class is suitable for you or someone you're booking for, please get in touch before booking. Bookings & Payments • You can book places on our classes, workshops and events via our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6AY. • All bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. • You will receive a booking confirmation by email once your payment has been processed. Materials • Materials and tools vary depending on the class. Please refer to the individual course description for details. Feel free to contact us with any questions in advance. Cancellations & Changes • Bookings are non-refundable. • Due to our small class sizes, it is usually not possible to transfer bookings to another date. • If you notify us at least 14 days in advance, we may be able to offer a transfer or credit note, subject to availability. • If you contact us 7 days before the class, we may be able to offer an alternative date, but this is not guaranteed. The more notice you give, the better chance we can help. • If you cannot attend, you may send someone else in your place. Please inform us of their name before the class. Cancellations by Us • In the rare case that we need to cancel a class, workshop or event, you will receive a full refund. • Our liability is limited to the cost of the class only. We are not responsible for any additional costs such as travel, accommodation, or pre-purchased materials. Insurance & Professional Standards • Bus Stop Studios is fully insured for all classes and workshops. • All of our tutors carry their own Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and are experienced professionals in their field. They may not be copied, distributed, or used for teaching or other commercial purposes without prior written permission.
