Hand Embroidery Summer School Join us for a week-long relaxed and informal hand embroidery course with Bus Stop Studios founder Amy Burt aka Lady B Embroidery. Whether you want to follow the 'STITCH' 5 Techniques In 5 days' week long course or work on a project designed by you, we have everything you need here. 'STITCH' - 5 techniques in 5 days Over the course of the week learn a different technique each day in a fun a modern design worked on pale blue linen. S = Blackwork stitches - Tulip Stitch blended with Interlocking Ys in Red stranded cotton. Outlined in Stem Stitch using brown stranded cotton T = Or Nué using Gold passing & lilac stranded cotton (with felt padding) I = Silk Shaded Body & Eyelet ‘dot’ in all green stranded cotton outlined with Pearl Purl (with white interfacing) T = Appliqué pink cotton outline with Couched Pink stranded cotton C = Goldwork - Chipping in Bright Check outlined in Pearl Purl (with yellow felt padding) H = Pulledwork – Diagonal Cross filling using blue top stitch thread, outlined with Chain Stitch in lilac Kit price £25 - you can pay your tutor on the first day in either cash or card. all equipment will be provided, but bring along your own sewing kit inc scissors etc If you have previous embroidery experience and not want to follow the set course you can bring along your own embroidery project and you can work on this with Amy's expert guidance, please get in touch beforehand. Amy Burt aka Lady B Embroidery is qualified Hand Embroidery Artist and Tutor based in St Leonards on Sea. She has taught for the Royal School of Needlework since 2016 and worked for many years for London fashion houses such as Alexander McQueen, Ralph & Russo and Erdem, Amy worked on the embroideries for the Coronation of King Charles for the RSN www.ladybembroidery.co.uk Starting 8th - 12th July 2024 10am - 3pm with an hour for lunch at Bus Stop Studios 53 London Road St Leonards on Sea East Sussex TN37 6AY

Cancellation Policy

Please note our classes are mostly aimed for adults. Please get in touch to ask if you are unsure. Our classes are non refundable. Due our small class sizes it is very difficult to transfer your booking to a different date. If you cannot attend a class and are able to notify us at least two weeks before the class starts, it may be possible to fit you in on another date but this is not guaranteed so please give us as much notice as possible to increase your chances. T&Cs Terms & Conditions • You can book places on our classes, workshops and events on our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6AY • Places are booked on a first-come-first-served basis. Full payment is required at the time of booking in order to reserve your place. • Bookings and payments will be confirmed by email. • The materials and tools needed for each class varies, so please refer to the course description but don’t hesitate to contact us with any queries. • If you are unable to attend a class, workshop or event you may send someone else in your place. You must let us know the name of the attendee prior to the class, workshop or event taking place. • Confirmed & paid bookings are not eligible for payment refunds. • You can transfer to another class, workshop or event or receive a credit note if you notify us at least 14 days before the date of the class, workshop or event you are booked on to attend. • In exceptional circumstances, where we may have to cancel one of our advertised classes, workshops or events, you will be offered a full refund. • If a class, workshop or event is cancelled our liability is solely for the cost of the booking fee, not for any other costs you may have incurred such as materials you may have purchased in advance, travel costs or accommodation. • Attendees at our classes, workshops and events are not permitted to use any of our instruction sheets, photography or designs for their own classes or other commercial concerns.
