Haute Couture Embroidery Summer School Join us at Bus Stop Studios for week long Haute Couture embroidery course with Bus Stop Studios founder Amy Burt aka Have you ever fancied learning to embroiderer in the same way as the big named fashion houses do then you're in the right place! Amy aka Lady B Embroidery is a qualified Hand Embroidery Artist and Tutor based in St Leonards on Sea. She has taught for the Royal School of Needlework since 2016 and worked for many years for London fashion houses such as Alexander McQueen, Ralph & Russo and Erdem, Amy also worked on the embroideries for the Coronation of King Charles for the RSN In this 5 day class you will learn the following: Day One - Frame up a rotary frame in the same way used in the fashion houses do i.e. quick on, quick off! - Learn to master the tambour hook using the core Chain stitch - Turn corners, learn to start and stop (no mean feat!) Day Two - tambour with beads, sequins, bugle beads and seed beads Day 3 - filling larger areas Vermicelli (Chinese Spagetti!) a filling stitch using chain stitch and then beads and sequins - Sugar stitch a filling stitch layering on top of each other Day 4 - Pulling stitches - Flea stitch - applique Day 5 - Padding - silk ribbon work - hand embroidery stitches Course fee includes £25 kit, includes all materials, beads and tambour hook. If you want to bring your own extra beads feel free! Cancellation Policy

Please note our classes are mostly aimed for adults. Please get in touch to ask if you are unsure. Our classes are non refundable. Due our small class sizes it is very difficult to transfer your booking to a different date. If you cannot attend a class and are able to notify us at least two weeks before the class starts, it may be possible to fit you in on another date but this is not guaranteed so please give us as much notice as possible to increase your chances. T&Cs Terms & Conditions • You can book places on our classes, workshops and events on our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6AY • Places are booked on a first-come-first-served basis. Full payment is required at the time of booking in order to reserve your place. • Bookings and payments will be confirmed by email. • The materials and tools needed for each class varies, so please refer to the course description but don’t hesitate to contact us with any queries. • If you are unable to attend a class, workshop or event you may send someone else in your place. You must let us know the name of the attendee prior to the class, workshop or event taking place. • Confirmed & paid bookings are not eligible for payment refunds. • You can transfer to another class, workshop or event or receive a credit note if you notify us at least 14 days before the date of the class, workshop or event you are booked on to attend. • In exceptional circumstances, where we may have to cancel one of our advertised classes, workshops or events, you will be offered a full refund. • If a class, workshop or event is cancelled our liability is solely for the cost of the booking fee, not for any other costs you may have incurred such as materials you may have purchased in advance, travel costs or accommodation. • Attendees at our classes, workshops and events are not permitted to use any of our instruction sheets, photography or designs for their own classes or other commercial concerns.
