Lino Cutting Weekend Workshop – Jigsaw and Multi Block Lino Printing Techniques Curious about lino cutting & want to create bold, satisfying prints? This friendly, hands on 2 day workshop taught by professional printed textile designer Nicolette Tabram is the perfect starting point for beginners & a great next step for anyone with a little experience who would like to explore relief printmaking in more depth. Over 2 days you will learn how to create multi colour lino prints using two classic approaches: jigsaw printing (where one block is cut into pieces and inked in different colours) & 2 colour repeat printing using the multi block method. Nicolette will guide you through the process step by step, with plenty of time to practise, experiment & build confidence. Pre prepared designs will be available on the day, or bring your own designs to work from. You will be supported through carving, inking & printing your own lino blocks, producing a small collection of unique prints to take home. When booking, please choose with or without starter kit . This is ideal if you would like to continue lino cutting at home & includes everything you need in a handy box (RRP £34.99) The fee includes use of colour paints and extra lino with the option to buy a starter kit. If you already have your own lino cutting tools, please bring them along. Contains: - Lino Cutter Set (2 handles, 6 blades) - black printing ink tube - Block printing lino roller 60mm - 2x Easy Cut lino block - A5 all-media cartridge paper pad - Inking surface - A5 storage box If you catch the lino printing bug, we stock all the supplies you need in the shop, so you can keep going at home. This workshop is beginner friendly, so no experience is necessary. Terms & Conditions for Class Bookings Most of our classes are designed for adults. If you are unsure whether a class is suitable, please contact us before booking. Bookings & Payments - Classes, workshops and events can be booked via our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6AY. - Bookings are first come, first served. - Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. (please see below for payment options) - A booking confirmation will be sent by email once payment has been processed. Pricing & Supported Places - As a small independent business, our class fees help cover running costs, tutor pay, preparation time and associated expenses. - We may offer 1-2 lower income or supported places on selected courses, subject to availability. - These must be requested by email before booking and are offered at our discretion. - If the cost of a longer course feels difficult to manage, please contact us before booking and we may be able to discuss options such as a payment plan. Materials - Materials and tools vary by class. Please check the course description for details. Cancellations & Changes - Bookings are non-refundable. - Transfers are usually not possible due to small class sizes. - With at least 14 days' notice, we may be able to offer a transfer or credit note, subject to availability. - With 7 days' notice, we may be able to offer an alternative date, but this is not guaranteed. -If you cannot attend, you may send someone else in your place. Please let us know their name before the class. Cancellations by Us - If we need to cancel a class, workshop or event, you will receive a full refund. - Our liability is limited to the cost of the class only. Insurance & Copyright - Bus Stop Studios is fully insured for all classes and workshops, and all tutors hold their own Public Liability Insurance. - Course content, handouts, photography and designs are for personal use only and may not be copied, shared or used for teaching or commercial purposes without written permission. Photography - We may occasionally take photographs during classes for marketing or social media. - We will always ask permission before taking or using identifiable images. - Please let us know in advance if you have any concerns about photography.
