Memory Quilt Thursday Evening Course Our Memory Quilt course is all about slow stitching, taking time to unwind & let ideas unfold stitch by stitch. Meeting every other Thursday evening over six months, you'll create a quilt that's completely personal to you, with each square inspired by a memory, a place you've loved, a person, a garden or a special day. There are no set designs to follow. Each month I'll share a gentle prompt & a new hand embroidery technique to explore, from crewelwork & appliqué to blackwork & whitework, but how you interpret it is entirely up to you. We'll work on each square over two evenings, giving you plenty of time to settle into the stitching. No two quilts will ever be the same, & yours could make a beautiful gift for a new baby or newlyweds. Bring fabrics with meaning, like an old shirt, a baby blanket or a favourite tea towel. You'll continue each square at your own pace at home between sessions. In our final session I'll show you how to assemble & finish your quilt, or you can carry on with us & add more squares. Amy has taught at the Royal School of Needlework since 2016, worked for Alexander McQueen, Erdem & Ralph & Russo & contributed to King Charles III's Coronation embroidery. www.ladybembroidery.co.uk Good to know Small classes of up to 8, suitable for all levels from complete beginners to experienced stitchers. Materials are extra, starter kit details will follow before the course begins. Our classroom is downstairs, reached by stairs with railings, so do get in touch about access. Keeping classes accessible Like many small businesses, we're seeing rising costs, so we've made a small increase to our course prices. To keep things fair and sustainable, reduced-fee places are now limited rather than open to everyone. Cancellation Policy
Terms & Conditions for Class Bookings Most classes are for adults. If unsure whether a class suits you, please contact us before booking. Bookings & Payments Book via our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, TN37 6AY. Bookings are first come, first served. Full payment is required when booking, unless you choose a payment plan or membership. Materials vary, see each course description. A confirmation email will be sent once payment has been processed. Payment Plans & Memberships Some longer courses can be paid monthly or offer a membership, as shown in the course description. By choosing one, you’re booking the whole term, course or membership period and agreeing to make all payments, which are taken automatically each month by card. Any course policy applies alongside these terms. Drop in Lessons Some classes offer pay as you go drop in lessons when there’s space and enough students for the class to run. Please email hello@busstopstudios.com first to check. Pricing & Supported Places We may offer 1 to 2 supported places on selected courses, at our discretion. Please request these by email before booking. If a longer course feels difficult to manage, check whether a payment plan is available or contact us. Location & Access From December 2026, classes take place in our downstairs classroom, reached by stairs with railings. Please contact us before booking about any access needs. Cancellations & Changes You can cancel up to 14 days before the class, or the first session of a multi week course, for a full refund. Within 14 days, bookings are non-refundable, but you’re welcome to send someone else in your place. Please let us know their name before the class. If we can fill your place from our waiting list, we’ll offer you a [refund / credit note]. Missed sessions on a course, payment plan or membership can’t be refunded or credited. Cancellations by Us If we cancel a class, you’ll receive a full refund. Our liability is limited to the cost of the class. Insurance & Copyright Bus Stop Studios is fully insured and all tutors hold their own Public Liability Insurance. Course content, handouts, photography and designs are for personal use only and may not be copied, shared or used commercially without written permission. Photography We may take photos during classes for marketing or social media, and will always ask before using identifiable images. Please let us know if you have any concerns.
