Punch Needle Rug Hooking Weekend Do you fancy spending a weekend getting completely lost in colour, texture & the satisfying rhythm of punch needle rug hooking? This two-day introductory workshop with textile artist & educator Kasia Hamilton is the perfect creative escape for beginners & curious makers alike. Across the two days you will learn how to develop & transfer a simple design of your own choice onto a backing fabric, you will then explore essential punch needle tools & materials, and build confidence with core techniques including loop height, texture, colour changes and mark-making through stitch. The workshop also covers finishing methods & practical advice for turning your samples into resolved textile pieces. No experience is necessary: just bring your enthusiasm & curiosity Kasia will be there to guide you through every step! This workshop is part of the Bus Stop Studios Summer School programme, perfect for anyone planning a creative break by the sea. Spend the weekend with us, then explore our wonderful seaside town. We have a recommended list of accommodation, please get in touch for details. Taught in a small group setting with plenty of individual guidance & support throughout. Kasia is a creative practitioner originally from Poland, now based in St Leonards on Sea, with a professional background in interior design and many years spent creating interactive and narrative-driven experiences. She lectures at UAL and brings a warm, holistic approach to her teaching, weaving together design, textiles and creative practice in a way that is both inspiring and deeply nourishing. Price £150 per person, materials included. Keeping classes accessible Like many small businesses, we're seeing rising costs, so we've made a small increase to our course prices. To keep things fair & sustainable, reduced-fee places are now limited rather than open to everyone. If cost is a barrier, please reach out: we can offer payment plans & once the course has enough bookings to run, a small number of reduced-fee places where possible. Terms & Conditions for Class Bookings Most of our classes are designed for adults. If you are unsure whether a class is suitable, please contact us before booking. Bookings & Payments - Classes, workshops and events can be booked via our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6AY. - Bookings are first come, first served. - Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. (please see below for payment options) - A booking confirmation will be sent by email once payment has been processed. Pricing & Supported Places - As a small independent business, our class fees help cover running costs, tutor pay, preparation time and associated expenses. - We may offer 1-2 lower income or supported places on selected courses, subject to availability. - These must be requested by email before booking and are offered at our discretion. - If the cost of a longer course feels difficult to manage, please contact us before booking and we may be able to discuss options such as a payment plan. Materials - Materials and tools vary by class. Please check the course description for details. Cancellations & Changes - Bookings are non-refundable. - Transfers are usually not possible due to small class sizes. - With at least 14 days' notice, we may be able to offer a transfer or credit note, subject to availability. - With 7 days' notice, we may be able to offer an alternative date, but this is not guaranteed. -If you cannot attend, you may send someone else in your place. Please let us know their name before the class. Cancellations by Us - If we need to cancel a class, workshop or event, you will receive a full refund. - Our liability is limited to the cost of the class only. Insurance & Copyright - Bus Stop Studios is fully insured for all classes and workshops, and all tutors hold their own Public Liability Insurance. - Course content, handouts, photography and designs are for personal use only and may not be copied, shared or used for teaching or commercial purposes without written permission. Photography - We may occasionally take photographs during classes for marketing or social media. - We will always ask permission before taking or using identifiable images. - Please let us know in advance if you have any concerns about photography.
