Service Description
Join us every Tuesday afternoon for a relaxing and inspiring hand embroidery course led by Bus Stop Studios founder Amy Burt, aka Lady B Embroidery. Whether you're a total beginner or returning to build on your skills, this friendly, mixed-level group is the perfect place to learn, stitch and share ideas. You can choose to: Book a half term of 6 lessons (this covers the first half only) Or the full 12-week term for a deeper dive into technique and projects – best value! Each student is supported to work at their own pace. You can follow a structured course with Amy, or develop your own project with her help and advice. Course options include: Intro to Embroidery – Learn the core stitches Raised & Textured Embroidery – Padding, layering, and 3D effects Fashion & Couture Embroidery – Beading, tambour and advanced techniques used in fashion Alternatively, bring your own design ideas and develop them week by week. Amy is trained in over 25 embroidery techniques and loves a challenge! When booking, please let us know your level and what you'd like to focus on. Materials: Purchase what you need in class at a discounted rate, or request a materials list to bring your own. This is a mixed-level group with a lovely combination of returning students and new faces. Absolute beginners are very welcome – no experience needed. About the Tutor Amy Burt is a qualified hand embroidery artist and tutor based in St Leonards-on-Sea. She has taught at the Royal School of Needlework since 2016 and worked for London fashion houses including Alexander McQueen, Erdem, and Ralph & Russo. If you’re able to pay the standard fee, it helps support our tutors and keeps classes accessible. Please choose the price that feels right for your circumstances. Standard Full Term: £180 Standard Half Term: £100 Low Income Full Term: £150 Low Income Half Term: £90 Class sizes are kept small to ensure lots of individual support and space to develop at your own pace. Cancellation Policy
Terms & Conditions for Class Bookings Please note: Most of our classes are designed for adults. If you're unsure whether a class is suitable for you or someone you're booking for, please get in touch before booking. Bookings & Payments • You can book places on our classes, workshops and events via our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6AY. • All bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. • You will receive a booking confirmation by email once your payment has been processed. Materials • Materials and tools vary depending on the class. Please refer to the individual course description for details. Feel free to contact us with any questions in advance. Cancellations & Changes • Bookings are non-refundable. • Due to our small class sizes, it is usually not possible to transfer bookings to another date. • If you notify us at least 14 days in advance, we may be able to offer a transfer or credit note, subject to availability. • If you contact us 7 days before the class, we may be able to offer an alternative date, but this is not guaranteed. The more notice you give, the better chance we can help. • If you cannot attend, you may send someone else in your place. Please inform us of their name before the class. Cancellations by Us • In the rare case that we need to cancel a class, workshop or event, you will receive a full refund. • Our liability is limited to the cost of the class only. We are not responsible for any additional costs such as travel, accommodation, or pre-purchased materials. Insurance & Professional Standards • Bus Stop Studios is fully insured for all classes and workshops. • All of our tutors carry their own Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and are experienced professionals in their field.
