Intro to Lino Printing Workshop Discover the art of lino printing in this relaxed, hands-on workshop designed to spark your creativity and guide you step-by-step through the process of creating your very own print masterpiece with local creative Nicolette Tabram. Perfect for absolute beginners and open to all experience levels, this session offers a warm and welcoming environment where you’ll learn the fundamentals of lino cutting and printing. You’ll carve your own design into a lino block and explore a variety of printing techniques, with the chance to experiment using both your creation and existing blocks. A selection of image templates will be available to inspire you, but you’re also encouraged to bring along your own sketches or ideas if you’d like to create something more personal. Be prepared to get a little inky—lino printing can be delightfully messy! We’ll be using black ink, so please bring an apron or wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting stained. All essential tools will be provided and and the cost for material will be inlcuded in the price By the end of the workshop, you'll take home your carved lino block and a beautiful selection of your very own prints—perfect for framing, gifting, or simply admiring! What You’ll Learn: How to transfer a drawing onto a lino block How to safely and effectively use lino cutting tools Techniques for carving textures and patterns How to roll out ink and apply it evenly Hand-printing methods to bring your design to life About Your Tutor: Your workshop leader, Nicolette Tabram, brings a rich background in textile design and a deep love for pattern and print. After a successful career in the fashion industry, she transitioned into teaching and now shares her passion through creative workshops for both adults and children. Based in her studio in Hastings, Nicolette is the founder of Nicolette Tabram Stencils and the author of Modern Stencils. Please note our classes are mostly aimed for adults. Please get in touch to ask if you are unsure. Our classes are non refundable. Due our small class sizes it is very difficult to transfer your booking to a different date. If you cannot attend a class and are able to notify us at least two weeks before the class starts, it may be possible to fit you in on another date but this is not guaranteed so please give us as much notice as possible to increase your chances. T&Cs Terms & Conditions • You can book places on our classes, workshops and events on our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6AY • Places are booked on a first-come-first-served basis. Full payment is required at the time of booking in order to reserve your place. • Bookings and payments will be confirmed by email. • The materials and tools needed for each class varies, so please refer to the course description but don’t hesitate to contact us with any queries. • If you are unable to attend a class, workshop or event you may send someone else in your place. You must let us know the name of the attendee prior to the class, workshop or event taking place. • Confirmed & paid bookings are not eligible for payment refunds. • You can transfer to another class, workshop or event or receive a credit note if you notify us at least 14 days before the date of the class, workshop or event you are booked on to attend. • In exceptional circumstances, where we may have to cancel one of our advertised classes, workshops or events, you will be offered a full refund. • If a class, workshop or event is cancelled our liability is solely for the cost of the booking fee, not for any other costs you may have incurred such as materials you may have purchased in advance, travel costs or accommodation. • Attendees at our classes, workshops and events are not permitted to use any of our instruction sheets, photography or designs for their own classes or other commercial concerns.
