Learn to Sew in a Weekend Taught by Lauren from Sew Cosy Patterns Always wanted to get to grips with a sewing machine? This friendly, hands-on weekend course is perfect for complete beginners—no experience needed and no sewing machine required. We’ll provide everything you need. Across the weekend, you'll create four stylish and practical projects, each designed to build your skills and confidence. You’ll finish with a set of completed makes, reusable patterns and instructions, plus a couple of bonus projects to try at home. Projects include: • Pencil Case • Glasses Case • Drawstring Bag • iPad/Kindle Case Techniques covered: • Inserting a zip • Creating a drawstring channel • Sewing on buttons • Adding elastic • Attaching magnetic clasps All materials and tools are included in the course price. Just bring glasses if you need them, tie long hair back, and wear closed shoes. This course is taught in a small group setting, with plenty of individual guidance and support. The workshop runs for a total of 8 hours across the weekend (2 hours per project, with breaks). Standard fee: £145 Low income rate: £120 We offer a reduced rate for those on low incomes. If you are able to pay the standard fee, this helps support our tutors and makes our classes more accessible to everyone. Please choose the price that feels right for your circumstances. Terms & Conditions for Class Bookings Please note: Most of our classes are designed for adults. If you're unsure whether a class is suitable for you or someone you're booking for, please get in touch before booking. Bookings & Payments • You can book places on our classes, workshops and events via our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6AY. • All bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. • You will receive a booking confirmation by email once your payment has been processed. Materials • Materials and tools vary depending on the class. Please refer to the individual course description for details. Feel free to contact us with any questions in advance. Cancellations & Changes • Bookings are non-refundable. • Due to our small class sizes, it is usually not possible to transfer bookings to another date. • If you notify us at least 14 days in advance, we may be able to offer a transfer or credit note, subject to availability. • If you contact us 7 days before the class, we may be able to offer an alternative date, but this is not guaranteed. The more notice you give, the better chance we can help. • If you cannot attend, you may send someone else in your place. Please inform us of their name before the class. Cancellations by Us • In the rare case that we need to cancel a class, workshop or event, you will receive a full refund. • Our liability is limited to the cost of the class only. We are not responsible for any additional costs such as travel, accommodation, or pre-purchased materials. Insurance & Professional Standards • Bus Stop Studios is fully insured for all classes and workshops. • All of our tutors carry their own Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and are experienced professionals in their field.
