Make Your Own Diva Doll with Louisa Bryan Back by popular demand, this fun 4-part evening course with professional seamstress Louisa Bryan is the perfect way to make your own treasure, whether that's a Christmas present, a fairy for the tree, or simply a doll dreamed up from your own imagination. Past dolls have included Amy Winehouse, Divine, Edward Scissorhands & Yayoi Kusama. Whether your Diva Doll is inspired by a famous figure or is entirely your own creation, Louisa will guide you through every stage of bringing them to life. Who it is for? This course suits confident beginners & improvers alike. You should be comfortable handling a basic sewing machine stitch; Louisa will guide you through everything else. What you will learn over 4 sessions: Week 1: Designing and preparing! Start planning fabrics, the clothing and body options! Bring a sketchbook and any images Week 2: The body, building your doll's form with fabric, wire & stuffing. Week 3: The wardrobe, designing & making your Diva Doll's very own clothes. Week 4: Hair & make-up, the finishing touches that bring your doll to life. Materials All materials are included in the course fee. If you have a specific fabric in mind for your doll's wardrobe What Do I Need to Bring? - character ideas - fabric for clothing if very specific (don't worry if you don't have these - Louisa can help you plan) - sketchbook & drawing tools - personal sewing kit if you have one About the tutor Louisa is a professional seamstress with many years of experience across home furnishings & bespoke costume. Her recent work includes creating outfits for Boy George, bringing the same flair for character & craftsmanship to every Diva Doll she helps you make. We keep class sizes small to ensure everyone receives plenty of individual support. Please remember to check our Terms & Conditions before booking. Terms & Conditions for Class Bookings Most of our classes are designed for adults. If you are unsure whether a class is suitable, please contact us before booking. Bookings & Payments - Classes, workshops and events can be booked via our website or in person at Bus Stop Studios, 53 London Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6AY. - Bookings are first come, first served. - Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. (please see below for payment options) - A booking confirmation will be sent by email once payment has been processed. Pricing & Supported Places - As a small independent business, our class fees help cover running costs, tutor pay, preparation time and associated expenses. - We may offer 1-2 lower income or supported places on selected courses, subject to availability. - These must be requested by email before booking and are offered at our discretion. - If the cost of a longer course feels difficult to manage, please contact us before booking and we may be able to discuss options such as a payment plan. Materials - Materials and tools vary by class. Please check the course description for details. Cancellations & Changes - Bookings are non-refundable. - Transfers are usually not possible due to small class sizes. - With at least 14 days' notice, we may be able to offer a transfer or credit note, subject to availability. - With 7 days' notice, we may be able to offer an alternative date, but this is not guaranteed. -If you cannot attend, you may send someone else in your place. Please let us know their name before the class. Cancellations by Us - If we need to cancel a class, workshop or event, you will receive a full refund. - Our liability is limited to the cost of the class only. Insurance & Copyright - Bus Stop Studios is fully insured for all classes and workshops, and all tutors hold their own Public Liability Insurance. - Course content, handouts, photography and designs are for personal use only and may not be copied, shared or used for teaching or commercial purposes without written permission. Photography - We may occasionally take photographs during classes for marketing or social media. - We will always ask permission before taking or using identifiable images. - Please let us know in advance if you have any concerns about photography.
